2013 Silent Auction at the Reunion
July 19th. The silent auction raises money in support of Seasonal Staff Scholarships. It’s a lot of fun and we get to send you home with some wonderful mementos of your time spent at Philmont. We’re asking each PSA reunion and trek participant (or family) to bring something for the auction. In fact, all members are invited to donate something to our auction even if you are not attending the summer activities at Philmont.

June 1st in Grapevine, TX. The 2013 North Texas PSA Reunion is a fund raiser to provide PSA Staff Scholarship funds so our finest Scouts can bring that treasured Philmont experience to every camper. When you walk into the PSA Reunion you walk into a Disneyland of Scouting history. “Every Patch Tells a Story” of our Scouting legacy and every Scouter is a Librarian. 1000s of patches will be on hand.

Celebration Trek: Conservation Sites
Itineraries shall include the opportunity for three hours of conservation service. For 2013, conservation service may be performed at the following: Buck Creek, Harlan, Cimarron River, Beaubien, Baldy Skyline, Old Camp or Whiteman Vega.

Celebration Trek: Crew Leadership
July 13 – 20. Your crew will need to select your advisor and crew leader before arrival at Philmont. (You can select the chaplain aide and Wilderness Pledge Guia upon arrival.) This will allow your crew to hit the ground running when we gather at the Welcome Center July 13. Careful thought should be given to your crew leadership.

Celebration Trek: Itinerary Planning
July 13 – 20. Whatever itinerary you come up with, you need to know the basics of itinerary planning at Philmont. Here they are. Get out your maps, start trail-talking with friends and soon you will have both a crew (seven person minimum, maximum twelve persons) and an itinerary. And remember, planning is half the fun!
